Getting Started
The Cashier:
You will use the Cashier function in order to deposit or withdraw money, as well as viewing your entire tournament history.
There are a number of methods available for making a deposit with the Cashier. Click on the buttons at the top of the Cashier screen to select a particular payment method.
Please note: if you decide to pay via credit card, you will need to register your credit card details before you will be able to use it to make deposits to play at African Palace Poker.
If you already have withdrawals pending processing, you will be reminded of this when you enter the Cashier and you will be given the option of canceling the withdrawal order (Request) rather than making a deposit.
You will be able to withdraw funds from your African Palace Poker Real Money account at any time. There ate (are)two buttons on this screen – the Withdraw tab which initiates the withdrawal process and the Pending Withdrawals button, which displays the requested but as yet unprocessed withdrawals.
Please note: African Palace Poker has a mandatory 72 hour waiting period prior to processing a withdrawal request. During this time, you can access this screen to cancel the withdrawal request and transfer the monies back into your account.
The Cashier function also includes an ‘Invite a Friend’ option – you can enter the email addresses of three friends and submit their details by clicking on the ‘Invite’ button. You do not have to fill in all three email address fields and if you change your mind about inviting someone to play at African Palace Poker, you can cancel this function by clicking on the Close button. To invite more than three friends, you will be required to use this screen more than once as the maximum number of addresses allowed at any one time is three.
Your Comp Points or Palace Points are also noted on the Cashier screen. Palace Points are generated every time that you play at the Poker tables and in tournaments. Every time you finish a hand, you will earn Palace Points, A number of factors influence how many Palace Points you can get per hand. The conversion rate for Palace Points is 1 000: 1. This means that 1 000 Palace Points is equivalent to US$1. You can convert your Palace Points into cash by clicking on the ‘Cash in Complimentary Points’ button on the Cashier’s screen.
These Palace Points can eventually be converted into cash in your ‘Real Money’ account or swooped for physical prizes. You can check your Palace Points balance by clicking on the ‘My Account’ section and looking under the Palace Points section. This section also allows you to see how many points, bonus money and tournament tokens you have earned. Once you have achieved a certain level of Palace Points, you will be upgraded to another level on the VIP ladder.
Please note: Occasionally, Palace Points can be used in tournaments, for either the fee or the buy-in.
Tournament Tokens can also be used to gain access to a tournament, with no fee or buy-in required. Your token balance can be viewed using the Palace Points tab in the ‘My Account’ section of the Cashier’s screen. You can access this by opening the Tournaments Info window and clicking on the ‘Register’ option. You will have the option of using Real Money, Palace Points or Palace Tokens – you can make your selection by using the radio buttons in the ‘Registration Cost’ box. You will also be offered the choice of which token to use when you select the token radio button.
Please note that not all tokens can be used for all tournaments. Some tokens are only valid for a limited number and type of tournaments.
Bonus money is accumulated as you deposit money and play Poker. This is converted into Real Money and added to your account balance as you accumulate your Palace Points. You can view your Bonus Money balance and the required number of Palace Points in the Comp Points tab of the ‘My Account’ section of the Cashier’s screen.
